Every month, the Creative Impact project selects a small number of causes, communities, places, or organizations that we would like to bring greater visibility to. These are our Causes in Focus—our current creative missions.
We invite creators to learn about each cause, explore its story, and respond through a prefered mode of creative expression. Together, we use creativity to increase awareness, inspire empathy, and encourage meaningful action.

Creating joyful reading experiences in neighborhood barbershops.

Barbershop Books transforms barbershops into welcoming reading spaces, helping young boys discover the joy of books while waiting for a haircut. By bringing literacy into trusted community spaces, the organization encourages a lifelong love of reading and learning.

United Through Reading
Keeping military families connected through the power of shared stories.

United Through Reading helps military families stay connected during deployments by recording service members reading children's books aloud. These recordings allow children to hear a parent's voice and experience the comfort of a bedtime story, even when they are thousands of miles apart.
